As usual, I have other things I should be doing, but also as usual, I totally don't feel like doing them. Oh, don't get me wrong--I tried to do my crap, but there are other things more important going on.

OK, thing one. I was, though probably no longer am with this story, a closet Monkee fan. I hope Davy Jones gets the media hype Whitney Houston did, because I think he was a greater legend and icon. Don't get me wrong, Whitney was amazing, but it's the over-glorifying a drug addict that gets me. A heart attack is easier for the public to "swallow." I thought back to when I was 12 and my cousin and I made up our own lyrics to "Daydream Believer." Of course they made no sense at all, but it was fun. I still can't hear the song without laughing and singing my own version in my head. When I was 10 and my dad would drive me to school, we used to listen to the Beach Boys. One day he comes out with the Monkees greatest hits, and because it was off routine, I pfff'd at it. He made me give it a chance, boom, I was hooked. So for 16 years I've loved them and thought Davy was hot. And I'm ok with that. I don't care who makes fun of me. So, RIP Davy, you were a true part of my childhood, and probably one of my first crushes.

Second, I had one of those depressing "Life is so fast" talks with Jess on the way to the movies last night. We both concluded that time and life itself drags by so SLOW when you're a little kid, but now it's just zooming past like the blink of an eye. Feels like we were just turning 26, before we know it it'll be May and she'll be an old bat, then July will come and I'll be an old bat, and then before we know it it'll be Christmas again and we'll be having that "Shit! It's Christmas already?! Feels like we were just turning 27..." talk. I don't want to be old, I just don't. Not that I'm going to pull a Pier Angelli situation(Google it if you don't know!), but 30?! ANCIENT. 40?! EVEN WORSE! Although part of me can't wait to order off the old people menu because it's cheaper and get discounts, having your body break down and your looks fall apart is not worth it!

AND THEN, if that wasn't enough to swallow, I ended up befriending some gal I met a couple months ago, and she tells me the other day she's a lesbian. Um, weird, but ok. I'd be happier not knowing that detail, but if she trusts me with that knowledge, that's an honour. Anyway, she  texts me like non stop, and it's kind of, sort of, starting to freak me out. Random stuff.. How are you, what are you doing, I'm waiting for "What are you wearing?" I feel like I'm talking to my mother, because she loves to text me random stuff during my shifts. I'm like ok you're nice and all, but 1) You're starting to smother me. 2) I don't play for that team. 3) I am the WORST at having a phone. I am, really. I throw it in my bag, or in the car, and forget about it. Then I come back and I have like 20 messages from different people. But really?! We're not even "together" and she's all questioning me and I made it clear I don't bat for that team..I like my boys! Ay yi yi! I try to be nice, and I get a weirdy. Just my luck.Anybody have a way I can back-peddle out of this?
